Galentine’s Day Brunch!

Me and few of my mom blogger tribe at Galentine’s day brunch!

I realized this past weekend that I had never done anything for Galentine’s day and after being invited to the cutest Galentine’s Day brunch by my blogger boo Samantha, I am mad that I haven’t celebrated this holiday before! She set up the cutest Galentine’s day brunch for me and a few fellow mommy bloggers here in Nashville, and we had a beautiful time.

Love you Brunch’s – space: Note House

Galentine’s day is traditionally celebrated the day before Valentine’s day, and it’s just an opportunity to get together with some of your girlfriends and celebrate friendship and the importance of having a tribe that you can turn to outside of your romantic relationship. All of us need and thrive off of having genuine friendships and I love the idea of celebrating your love for your girls with some wine (none for me since I’m pregnant lol), charcuterie, conversation, and whatever else you can think of to make your day special.

We spend our day talking about what it’s like to be a black mom blogger in Nashville, and sharing advice and tips on how to continue to be successful in a space where finding another face that looks like yours can be sometimes few and far between. We also talked about the importance of cultivating a space for ourselves were we can come together and truly advocate for one another. I left the brunch feeling full spiritually and physically and I can’t wait to meet up with my girls again.
